USTA Alabama
National Junior Tennis & Learning

a network of community tennis organizations seeking to develop the character of young people through tennis and education

About Us

What We Do

Summer Camp at O'Connor Tennis Center, Montgomery, AL

Founded in 1969 by Arthur Ashe, Charlie Pasarell, and Sheridan Snyder; this growing network of tennis providers share similar values, ideals, and goals by:

  • reaching out to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to play the game of tennis
  • instilling in young people the values of leadership and academic excellence
  • giving all kids the opportunity to fully develop their tennis skills so they can derive a lifetime of enjoyment from the game

The NJTL network provides year-round opportunities for young people to play tennis.

NJTL pledges to help children both on the court and in the classroom, providing scholarship opportunities along the way.
